| Requirements: | Crossbody Bag: 3/8 yard of (42" wide) Exterior fabric for exterior, facing, and strap connectors. 1/2 yard (42" wide) Lining fabric for lining and pockets. 1/3 yard (42" wide) contrast fabric for corner accents and crossbody strap. 1 yard of Fusible Woven Interfacing such as SF 101 or Bosal Fashion Fuse. 2/3 yard (20" wide) Foam. The pattern calls for Sew-in, but I prefer fusible, because it makes a nicer looking bag. I'll leave the choice up to the class. Charade Hardware in preferred color. 2 - 10" or longer #5 single slide zippers (for ease of construction, 12" is better). Helpful supplies include all your normal sewing tools, including marking pens or chalk markers, clips and/or pins, basting tape or water soluble glue, a stiletto, and a zipper foot for your sewing machine. If you choose to make the Tote Bag, the following supplies will be needed: 7/8" yard of exterior fabric. 1/2 yard of lining fabric. 1/3 yard of contrasting fabric. 1 2/3 yard of Woven Fusible interfacing. The hardware and zippers are the same as the crossbody bag. To make class time most productive, please have all fabric cut out and labeled so we can begin construction as soon as class starts. (If anyone has questions or problems with cutting out, I will be glad to help.) Our goal is to have fun, learn some bag-making techniques, and take home a finished product!
