Fall Tote Bag
Create this cute tote bag using a blank tote bag, felt, and the OESD Primitive Autumn Appliques with your embroidery machine. You can choose one of 14 designs to use in this class. We will learn how to center your design, follow the steps of the design, and stitch this design on the tote bag. If you want to add words to your design, I can show you how to adjust the font to the desired size and/or shape. I will give you instructions how to complete the tote bag with or without the lining.
Skill Level: | Beginner |
Skill Details: | Learn to use felt when doing applique. Experiment with changing the size or using the Arc feature with your font. |
Requirements: | You will need a blank tote bag, preferably with the sides open; OESD Primitive Autumn Appliques; felt for your design and thread to match. You can use fabric if you choose instead of felt; applique scissors, Stabil Stick Cut Away or Fusible PolyMesh; embroidery machine in good working condition; half yard of lining fabric if you want to line the tote bag, fabric marking pen. Depending on the design you choose, you will need the appropriate sized hoop. I used the Maxi Hoop for the sample on the front of the tote, and the medium hoop for the design on the back. Please have your design, felt (fabric)chosen with the appropriate threads, and thread chart for the design printed before class. |
