You will learn how to do the following techniques: freestanding lace/freestanding applique; piecing in the hoop; machine applique; raw edge applique; blanket stitch applique; trapunto; pinwheel; tiling scene; continuous embroidery; quilt assembly; quilting in the hoop; and quilt labels. During this 13 month class (one technique per month), we will create this beautiful 55 x 55 finished quilt in November 2025. We will meet the fourth Saturday afternoon of each month, excluding December 2024 from 2:00-4:30. In each class, you will use different stabilizers and tools. See the supply list for each month in the attached link. Each class is $20.00. Come sew with me and expand your embroidery skills.
Note: Classes missed, will not be reimbursed. They can however, be made up depending on the instructor's availability.

| Requirements: | Embroidery machine in good working order; My Happy Place by OESD Item # 40008 design; applique scissors; seam ripper; embroidery thread; fabric from your stash or you may purchase the fabric kit separately that is available from the Rocking Bobbin. Stabilizers: AquaMesh Wash Away, Badge Master Wash Away, Stabil Stick Cut Away; Stabil Stick Tear Away; Fusible PolyMesh Cut Away; Heavy Weight and Medium Weight Tear Away; Fusible Woven; Top Cover Permanent Topping; Applique Fuse and Fix; Soft Web; and Fuse and Fleece. Not all stabilizers will be used each month. NOTE: When you purchase supplies from the Rocking Bobbin, you will receive 15% off on all class supplies. |
